I provide in-person counselling in Chilliwack and online counselling to people throughout BC. I have completed a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#19781).
I previously worked for ten years as a Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician in both community and hospital settings, as well as in in-patient treatment centres. My work has focused on supporting individuals experiencing complex mental health and addiction concerns, often during times of significant transition or crisis.
In my counselling practice, I focus on working with men on issues related to relationships, anger management, addictions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach is down-to-earth and collaborative, emphasizing personal accountability, mindful awareness, and the use of solution-focused strategies to create lasting change. I strive to provide a space where men can explore their emotions and experiences openly, without judgment, and begin to build greater balance and confidence in their lives. When I’m not working, I love exploring the outdoors and hiking with my two shepherd dogs. I also enjoy training in martial arts and challenging myself both mentally and physically. The discipline and focus required in martial arts training help me stay grounded and centred in all areas of my life.
If you are seeking support and guidance through a difficult time, I would be honoured to work with you one-on-one.

I am a Registered Social Worker currently providing mental health and substance use counselling for a local health authority. In my private practice I work with individuals to help navigate challenges such as life transitions, medical trauma, relationship issues, grief, depression, anxiety, and women’s issues. I have a special interest in working with teens and young adults, women and seniors. We’ll utilize a bio-psycho-social assessment to help uncover the areas of concern that brought you in. With over 10 years of experience as a health care social worker and counsellor, I’ve come to understand the importance of personalized care. Together we will create a plan tailored to help you make meaningful change.
My approach to counselling is collaborative. In our sessions my goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space, guided by empathy, humor, and a gentle challenging of old ways of thinking and doing. Counselling offers a chance not only to explore what feels broken, but to find the tools you need to heal, grow, and build a life worth living.
Outside of the office, I am a coffee drinker, a river dweller, a dog lover and a mom of two with a background in university athletics. My clients remind me constantly of the human spirit and its resiliency. Please reach out by email or phone to book a session or a 15 minute free consultation, to determine if my services could be beneficial to you.

I’m a registered clinical counsellor based in Chilliwack, BC. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and come to the field of therapy after more than a decade working in human resource management and not-for-profit leadership. My extensive professional background has provided me with deep insights into human dynamics, relational systems, and the emotional burdens that many individuals carry into their work, families, and communities.
My decision to become a therapist stemmed from my desire to reconnect with the fundamental aspect of helping people, a passion that had previously eluded me. My healing experiences in therapy helped me realize the transformative potential of being seen, heard, and supported. People’s stories have always captivated me, and now I have the opportunity to accompany them as they navigate through pain, insight, and growth. What I consider most rewarding about this work is being a consistent, nonjudgmental presence in someone’s life, someone they can turn to without fear or shame, and witnessing the slow, powerful process of change unfold.
My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered. I draw from a wide range of modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, Adlerian therapy, CBT, DBT, exposure therapy, person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. My default style is collaborative, exploratory, and calm, but I work flexibly, meeting each client where they are and adjusting my approach based on their needs and preferences.
When it comes to setting goals and measuring progress, I believe therapy works best as a collaborative journey. Early sessions involve exploring what brought the client to therapy and what meaningful change might look like for them. We co-create goals that range from practical and measurable to deeper emotional or existential aims. I regularly monitor progress and encourage clients to notice shifts in how they think, feel, and respond in daily life—viewing progress not only in terms of symptom reduction but also in self-awareness, confidence, and value alignment.
I work with adults, couples, and adolescents, and I am especially passionate about helping people navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship difficulties, identity development, grief, and life transitions. I’m also interested in modern stressors like technology overuse, productivity pressures, and emotional disconnection in our fast-paced world.
Core values that guide my work include respect, honesty, patience, and calm presence. I aim to create an emotionally safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel seen and understood, even when discussing their most vulnerable parts. Healing and growth look different for everyone; sometimes it’s a leap, sometimes it’s an inch forward, but I honour both.
A typical first session with me is about connection. I aim to bring some warmth and humour to the room as we begin building a therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about your goals and reasons for seeking support, review paperwork and expectations, and start co-creating a space that feels safe and steady. I offer both in-person sessions from a private office and secure virtual sessions through a compliant platform.

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work and over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My work with the local health authority has taken me into many areas—including mental health, emergency, and long-term care—which has deeply shaped how I show up for the people I work with: with compassion, respect, and a steady presence.
In my private practice, I take a holistic approach that honours the connection between mind, body, and life circumstances. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I believe that healing happens when we’re supported as whole people—not just a set of symptoms.
I have a special interest in supporting older adults and their mental health, as well as working with caregivers navigating the unique emotional and practical challenges they face. Additionally, I provide support for those experiencing perinatal challenges, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the emotional complexities of parenthood. I also work with individuals dealing with anxiety, grief, burnout, and life transitions. My goal is to create a space that is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded—where you can feel heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to move forward.
Outside of my work, I’m a mom of two, and I deeply value the restorative power of movement, nature, and time spent with animals. These elements continue to inspire my personal well-being and influence the way I approach healing and connection in my practice. If my approach feels like a good fit, I would love to hear from you.
